Delitto carnale turned out to be both Cesare Canevari and Marc Porel last film. Marc Porel sadly died later on during the year and Cesare Canevari (who had previously directed the mildly entertaining Iena a Casaforte, western Mátolo and Ajita Wilson vehicle La Principessa Nuda) never directed another feature again.
The film seems more of an exploitation/softcore film with giallo elements added to it than anything else. A group of relatives gather at a hotel to sort of the inheritance after their uncle and end up having sex. A lot of sex. Apparently it was shot in a "hard version" as well and it seems likely considering that the first 50 or so minutes are just a succession of sex scenes. A dead body turns up, but there really is no plot to speak of, there is no characterization and certainly no suspense.
It really is as close to the bottom of the barrel as you're going to get if you're a giallo fan. I recommend you stay well clear of this unless you're hellbent on seeing every giallo ever made.

Hi Peter. Nice little right up on an obscure title. And a beautiful locandine. Great to see you posting again!
Thanks Aylmer! Hope to post a few more before I start slacking off this time
Actually Aylmer, your comment made me go grab a bunch of posters I haven't had the chance to photograph yet, so now, I've got enough new posters to keep the posts going for a couple of weeks. Thanks again!
